Welcome to InstaLift

Sagging facial skin is typically a difficult concern to address without surgery. Of course, wrinkled skin and volume loss contribute to an aged and tired appearance that many people are seeking to reverse and avoid! Silhouette Instalift is Dr. Damico’s newest treatment option for patients seeking to restore lost volume and to improve sagging in the lower and mid-face. Silhouette InstaLift is a minimally-invasive procedure, and at Skin Care Fort Worth the procedure is only performed by Dr. Peter J. Damico. Silhouette InstaLift redefines the contours of the mid-face by elevating the deeper layers of your skin for a refreshed and healthy look.  With this new procedure, patients will enjoy both immediate lifting results and improvement over time as collagen production gradually increases. Silhouette InstaLift “sutures”, or you may be more familiar with the term “threads”, are made from a material that is well known and has been used in the medical community for more than 30 years.

What is Silhouette InstaLift?

InstaLift threads are an innovation in medical aesthetics offering patients what no stand-alone procedure has ever provided in such a minimally invasive way: immediate lift with collagen growth over time. Dr. Damico is proud to bring this procedure to his patients in Fort Worth. InstaLift sutures provide an immediate lift and are also absorbed by the body over time. As they are absorbed, they stimulate collagen renewal, which achieves natural-looking, long-lasting results.

How do Silhouette InstaLift threads work?

InstaLift sutures are like a thread you might use to sew with, or perhaps you may think of them as similar to dissolvable stitches, except made from special materials! The substance that the threads are made of encourage natural, gradual collagen growth, which in turn restores volume to your face. The threads also have cones along them, which are used to help the thread lift and hold your skin into its new position. The best part about Silhouette InstaLift is that you can achieve a natural-looking lift with less risk and without the downtime of a traditional surgical face lift.

When will I see results from my InstaLift procedure?

You will get immediate lifting results from the Silhouette InstaLift thread procedure! This is due to the physical structure provided by the threads and cones that Dr. Damico places in your skin. After inserting the Silhouette InstaLift sutures, Dr. Damico adjusts your skin to the desired position and uses the cones on the sutures to hold your skin in its new position. By doing this, Dr. Damico adds definition to the contours of your face and can diminish the appearance of sagging skin.
The collagen generation from the threads is a gradual process that properly promotes the new position of your skin, giving you an increase in volume where you need it most! This collagen generation, which begins at 6 months and continues over time, restores the contours of your face and offers long term results. The cones will start to dissolve 1 year after your procedure.
Sometimes, a slight depression or skin gathering may appear along the entry and exit points due to tension from the lift of the threads. These irregularities will go away in about a week.
Dr. Damico will provide you with post-treatment recommendations and an aftercare program to follow to ensure that you receive the best possible result.

How much does the Silhouette InstaLift cost?

The procedure cost varies according to each patient’s needs and the number of sutures required. Dr. Damico’s experience at Skin Care Fort Worth is that on average, patients will need 6 to 8 threads total.
Our Prices are as follows:

Treatment starts at $2800.
If more or less threads are needed to achieve your desired results, the price will change accordingly. However, these are the most common treatment costs. The number of sutures you need depends on your skin laxity, the condition of your skin and your aesthetic goals.

What are the components of a Silhouette InstaLift suture?

Silhouette InstaLift sutures are made from Poly/Glycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), which is frequently used in medical devices and has been shown to be well tolerated by the body. It is very similar to the injectable known as Sculptra® in both its function and composition. If you are familiar with Sculptra®, you may think of the Silhouette InstaLift sutures as a non-injectable upgrade that provides both lasting immediate results and gradual results. The InstaLift sutures are specially developed to be absorbable by the body as they generate collagen growth. The “threads” lift, while the cones along the threads hold the lower face, mid-face and cheeks in an elevated position. The product earned FDA-clearance in April, 2015.

Who Is A Good Candidate For a Silhouette InstaLift™ Treatment?

Suitable candidates for Silhouette InstaLift have good skin quality, with moderate sagging of the skin in the cheek area or mid-face. The Silhouette InstaLift device should not be used in patients appearing to have very thin and/or soft tissue of the face in which the implant may be palpable. It is also not a suitable treatment in patients with excessive and/or heavy skin on the face.

Does Silhouette InstaLift Treatment hurt?

No, Dr. Damico will administer a local anesthetic (numbing agent) to the treatment area to create an experience that is as pain-free as possible! Most patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. You will be awake during the treatment process and this procedure does not include risks involved with being put under general anesthesia.

What will I experience during a Silhouette InstaLift treatment?

Dr. Damico will inject a local anesthetic to the entry and exit sites for the InstaLift sutures to provide a comfortable treatment experience. He will then place the InstaLift sutures in a strategic pattern and at a specific depth in the treatment zone soft tissues. Once the sutures have been inserted, Dr. Damico will position your skin to achieve the lifting effect. Dr. Damico will then cut off the ends of the sutures.

A Silhouette InstaLift treatment takes approximately 45 minutes as performed by Dr. Peter Damico at Skin Care Fort Worth.

What are the potential side effects associated with Silhouette InstaLift Treatment?

After the insertion of Silhouette InstaLift you may experience a minimal acute inflammatory reaction. Symptoms may include minor pain, swelling and bruising.

Patients with known allergy or foreign-body sensitivities to plastic biomaterial should not receive treatment with InstaLift. Treatment should be avoided in situations where internal fixation is otherwise contraindicated (e.g. patient has infection). Material sensitivity/allergic reactions should be reported to Silhouette Lift Inc. Implantation of foreign materials in tissue can result in histological reactions.
