Natural-looking lips that last
Sometimes, little changes can make a big difference—especially on the face.
Even a few small wrinkles are enough to make you look older, particularly when they appear in a place that gets a lot of attention, such as on and around the mouth. Fortunately, with Volbella, changes can go both ways. Using Volbella®, Dr. Peter Damico can treat fine lines to give your lips and mouth a more youthful look.
The injectable from Allergan joined the Juvederm® family of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers in 2016, giving patients an option to change their smile for the better. It is a smooth gel injected into the lips and mouth area to add a subtle boost of volume to the lips, contour or improve their shape, and is the perfect product to smooth out wrinkles and vertical lip lines (smokers lines) around the mouth. Volbella® is designed to fine tune the lips and lip area, working as a standalone treatment or complementing the volumizing effects of other treatments.
Learn more about Volbella
As mentioned above, Volbella lasts up to one year in most people. Everyone’s body will react differently, but the majority of people are still enjoying their results a year after treatment.
According to a study of patients treated with Volbella,
80% (98/123) of people treated experienced improved satisfaction with their lips 1 year later.
75% (92/123) of people treated experienced improved satisfaction with their vertical lip lines 1 year later.
Many people may wonder about having to return for repeat treatments. However, when treated again after 1 year, participants of this study needed less product to achieve their desired results.
Volbella is a dermal filler in the Juvederm family that must be sold by the syringe. Syringes are single-patient use only. As such, Skin Care Fort Worth offers Volbella at the price of $450 for a 0.55cc syringe. Since Volbella has such a subtle effect, Dr. Damico says that he will often use 2 syringes of Volbella with patients. This always varies depending on your individual needs and desires. Dr. Damico is happy to discuss all concerns and questions you may have during your free consultation or at time of treatment.
Several dermal fillers are available at Skin Care Fort Worth, including Juvederm® to reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Voluma®, which is also a Juvederm product, restores mid-face volume to fill out sunken areas and lift sagging skin. Radiesse® is another injectable that Dr. Damico offers his patients. It not only adds volume where it’s injected, but also stimulates new collagen production for ongoing improvement. Radiesse is commonly used in hands to hide the appearance of tendons. And of course, Dr. Damico uses Botox® to relax muscles that cause wrinkles on your forehead and crow’s feet next to your eyes.
He can explain how any of these injectables can be used separately or combined for the best overall rejuvenating effect. Patients will always have the opportunity to ask any questions they have about fillers or other treatments at their initial consultation.
